Dr. Michele M. Johnson has been honored as one of Castle Connolly’s 2025 Exceptional Women in Medicine. This is the sixth year Dr. Johnson has been awarded the prestigious honor. The award is given annually based on peer nominations and outstanding accomplishments and dedication in their specialties.
Physicians named to the list have already been recognized as Castle Connolly Top Doctors. These women have contributed to the advancement of healthcare through clinical care, research, community service, education, and/or leadership. Dr. Michele Johnson practices at Atlanta Brain and Spine Care. Following college, she completed a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Johnson received her Medical Doctorate with Honors from Yale University Medical School and completed her neurosurgery residency at Emory University. She is Board Certified in Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Johnson has expertise in complex and minimally invasive spinal surgery, spinal cord tumors, spinal trauma, spinal fractures, degenerative spinal disease, and artificial disc replacement.
